Uber and Lyft Upfront Pricing is a Scam to Ripp-off Passengers and Drivers. Uber takes up to 80% of a passenger fare.

Uber and Lyft are out of control with greed. Upfront pricing is a scam to hide how much Uber is charging. This video gives detailed evidence and examples. So if Uber charges a passenger $100 and pays the Driver $20, is that fair? Years ago it was 80% for the Driver, today it is up to 80% for Uber.
They are many reasons why people do not trust Uber and Lyft to treat them fairly.
One example is insurance costs. Uber and Lyft like to blame increased pricing on inflation and insurance. When the truth is Uber owns their own insurance company, and the laws protect Uber and Lyft from showing how insurance prices and profits are calculated.

Federal, State and Local governments need to do a lot more to regulate evil Uber and Lyft.
