Where To Go in 2016? Ranks Miami FL as #1 published a list of the best places to visit in 2016.

I suppose you can promote any city as an interesting place to visit. However many people would including me would pick Miami as a fun international party zone. Also it is much bigger than Ibiza

They put Greenland on the list as #15 and that is that last place I will ever visit, it should be at the end of most people's list.
I have been to Iceland and if you know your history, it was named Iceland as a trick to convince people to go to Greenland, which has even a harsher colder environment than Iceland.
Iceland is volcanic so it is a little warmer and only has about 350,000 people in the whole country. It does not have any trees, yet they imported this beautiful wood that the entire airport is built with.

So If I have a list of 500 places I want to see, I would put Iceland at #400 and Greenland at #459

Carol Burnett Interview by Dan Rather

This is an outstanding interview of Carol Burnett. So many people including me grow up watching the Carol Burnett show and also watching Dan Rather.
I like it when the talk about "who are you really?"
"How do you want to be remembered?"
Dan Rather is a great interviewer. The picture quality is okay and the sound quality is good. There are only 5 seconds of advertising and commercials. This is the only version of this interview on the Internet that I could find.

Paris Terror Attacks Will Likely Have a Major Impact Across All of Europe

This is an interesting video to me, as there is a quote from a Frenchman that is out strolling around the beautiful city of Paris. When asked why is he out when the French government asked people to stay inside their homes. He says "If I live my life in fear and stay inside my home, than the terrorists have won". So this is why he is out living his life. He has the correct attitude, yet it is much easier to say then to follow his advice for many people.

Extreme Sleepwalking Teen Tells Her Story of Walking 9 Miles Asleep

This is a very interesting story about a teenage girl that walks nine miles in her sleep. About 4% of people report sleepwalking incidences most more minor than walking nine miles.

Sleepwalking, also known as somnambulism or noctambulism, is a sleep disorder belonging to the parasomnia family.

New US Politicial Poll and President Obama Jokes About Republican Debate Issues with Moderators

The following video clip is funny to me, towards the end you hear President Obama's speech and he jokes about the Republican debate issues. I am not affiliated with any political party, so I can understand Mr. Obama's position. I think President Obama has a future as a stand up comedian, he can be very funny and charming.
To me the important point is that President Obama recognizes (via joke) that many people in the USA and worldwide think he is being pushed around by Russian President Putin, e.g. "having sand kicked in his face" ...

Summary and 2 Videos of the 3rd Republican Presidential Debate

Now we have two videos (commercial free) of the Republican Presidential debate last night. Please just click (Read more >>) below to see the videos.
This is a short summary of the third Republican Presidential debate that was held in Boulder Colorado last night.

I am already tried of all the politics and we have a very long way to go. My brother likes Jeb Bush, and I make a joke and tell him "Jeb's dead baby, Jeb's dead" ...  like the scene from the Pulp Fiction movie "Zed's dead baby, Zed's dead".
Also I had a good laugh when Jeb used the analogy about a "French" work week. I doubt the French people will appreciate his comment, even though it is true.

The CNBC journalists (is that what they call themselves?) were terrible, I mean the questions were pathetic and Ted Cruz did a good job of stating this for the record. Rarely do I agree with Ted Cruz, however in this case he was 100% correct to tell these lame CNBC workers off. I do not even care to refer to them as journalists and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Life at the End of a Rope

by Anthony Alcock

This is Tony's first book and I am helping him promote it. Tony is a fantastic writer and below is a summary of his book.

This book is the authors partial autobiography focusing on his time spent living on a boat, initially for four years in the late 1970’s in Marina-del Rey, California and, more recently, in Ventura Harbor, California.
Inspired by the lifestyle of boat living and others, who enjoy this in so many different ways, he shares his experiences with both those who live this life and others who might aspire to do so.

He outlines his personal experiences and includes advice for anyone considering taking this journey.  He has also included nine true stories of others who have chosen to “live aboard”.  Each of these accounts is unique and make for exciting reading.

My visit to England in the summer of 2015

By Tony Alcock

I visited family and friends in my home country for close to a month.  I was with my brother and his extended family for the first few days in Leicester, some 100 miles north of London and later stayed with my good friend Ann Green in Honiton, Devon in the Southwest of England.

The whole of the UK is continuously at the whim of hot and cold “fronts” from every direction.  Therefore forecasting the weather is virtually impossible.  Even in the so-called summer, on any given day, the sun may shine, the winds may blow, the rain may fall, or it might just cloud over to be the traditional “grey sky English day”.  Understandably, the English are obsessed with the weather and it is always the main topic of conversation; “I’m sure it will brighten up later”, “The sun will come out tomorrow”, “Isn’t it just a lovely day”.

I do not always agree with Dennis Prager, however he is 100% correct in this video. Dennis does an excellent job of presenting the facts in a very powerful and complying manner. I admire his work on this and even the graphics in the presentation are fantastic. I sent this to and asked that President Obama watch this outstanding video. After you watch this video, please also read this article about fighting Communism and Religious Fanatics world-wide.

I have been traveling all over Europe the last several weeks meeting with our clients and visiting with old childhood friends.

My friend from childhood John G. and I really like Amsterdam, and I have been there many times over the last ten years and also to visit most of the cities of the Netherlands.

Some of the reasons I suggest starting any European holiday in Amsterdam is the fantastic history which you can easily find on the Internet.

The kind and helpful nature of the people and the fact that they speak English is another excellent reason to start your trip in Amsterdam.
One minor frustration for USA citizens who like American style black ice tea, is that all over Europe they drink sweat ice tea that is flavored with lemon or now they also offer peach. We we make our own black non sweat ice tea fresh, and it is work to explain to the different waiters and waitresses what our requirements are.
So we just show them the following picture.

Nice going Trump! He can't remember which foot had the bone spur. I bet it's the one that's in his mouth. He probably also thinks that a real war hero doesn't die in combat.

I am not sure who is a more valuable player, Mike Trout or Andrew McCutchen?
I think Mike Trout has a little more hitting power. Please watch this video and the one below it of Andrew McCutchen and you can decide who is the better baseball player.

I first saw Andrew McCutchen beat the Los Angeles Dodgers about a year ago. I do not follow baseball that much, however this guy is one of the greatest of all time.

This is a video of the Space X landing, too bad it does not have sound.
It reminds me of when I worked on taking military grade navigation and guidance systems and transitioning that system for automotive purposes. Back in the day, when I worked for General Motors many years ago.

Next I found a really interesting Russian video(s) of when the meteoroid hit Russia back in 2013. The best ones have sound, and it is amazing how loud it was when this meteoroid went though the atmosphere and hit the earth and became a meteorite.

Then I found the video below that explains it.

This video is very scientific and gives details of how scientists can now calculate the meteors origin.

Close your eyes and forget that she's a nine year old!  In a very short time she has learned to sing and sing most beautifully and remember, she has had only a minimum of vocal training!   It's beyond words!  Truly one of the most amazing talents that has come out of these TV talent shows from many, many countries.

Review and Set Up Information
Like many people I have many wireless devices and had terrible problems getting enough throughput from my FIOS Actiontec wireless router.  This FIOS router works fine for hardwired connections however it is very poor for RF strength and wireless throughput.

I have 150Mbps service from Verizon and the FIOS Actiontec ethernet router only allows 20-47Mbps of throughput to my laptop.  This is using an USB 2.0 internal laptop wireless card, that came with my Sony laptop.

After researching this on the Internet I realized the solution is to upgrade and buy an Asus wireless - AC1900, about $170 on Amazon.
You also need to upgrade your laptop wireless card to USB 3.0, so I purchased the Rosewill-Wireless-Dual-Band-Adapter-AC1200, you plug this into your USB 3.0 connector.  My laptop is about 4 years old and luckily it has an USB 3.0 (blue) connector.  Now within 10-25 feet of the new Asus Access Point (AP) I receive 138-148Mbps on my laptop, this is very good for wireless.  Your mileage may vary as even small adjustments in the usb 3.0 antenna can cause big differences in throughput.  Also if your signal has to go through insulated walls.

The best way to set this up for most people is to turn the RF off on the FIOS Actiontec router.  You connect to:
enter your login and password and go the the screen that controls the RF signal.
