Google and Bing are unfairly censoring USA Senator Mike Lee as he is investigating Google -- Parler was made a scapegoat for the January 6, 2021, Capitol Hill Riot

Update 4-25-21

WASHINGTON – Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) on Wednesday sent a letter to the CEOs of Google, Apple, and Amazon questioning a series of actions their companies took against Parler.

The letter reads in part:

“As detailed in the timeline below, the timing of steps taken against the Parler social network by your companies and that the actions seem to lack any of the procedural fairness typically afforded in the case of an alleged breach of contract create the appearance of close coordination.

According to public sources:

  • On January 8, 2021 Apple sent Parler notice of expulsion from the App Store. Parler was provided only 24 hours to remediate. Google sent Parler notice of expulsion from the Play Store, reportedly within hours of Apple’s notice. Parler was not provided a remediation option. Later in the day, Google removed Parler from the Play Store.
  • On January 9, 2021 Apple removed Parler from the App Store. Amazon sent Parler a notice of suspension of their cloud services. No remediation option was provided.
  • On January 10, 2021 Amazon suspended service to Parler.

In just three days, Apple and Google effectively cut off Parler’s primary distribution channel, and Amazon cut off Parler’s access to critical computing services, leaving the company completely unable to serve its 15 million users. These actions were against a company that is not alleged to have violated any law. In fact, information provided by Parler to the House Oversight Committee revealed that Parler was assisting law enforcement even in advance of January 6th.”

Update: 3-26-21

Parler was made a scapegoat for the January 6, 2021, Capitol Hill Riot. As we have explored many times, the attempt to blame Parler was in bad faith and contradicted by the Department of Justice’s own criminal charging documents which focused much more heavily on organizing activity on Facebook and Twitter.

The claim that Parler represents some unique risk to public safety is a lie.
DOJ Charging Documents show that Facebook, not Parler was the most used social media platform used by Capitol Hill Rioters.

Update: 3-23-21

Parler co-founder John Matze has sued the social media platform over his firing earlier this year.

Matze filed suit on Monday in a Nevada state court, according to a copy of the complaint published by The Las Vegas Sun.

Good news, Parler is stable and reliable on the Windows PC devices, unfortunately Parler is still working on a few problems for phone devices and the moderation AI software still needs more improvements.

Soon Parler should be ready to allow new users to sign up.

Update: 3-2-21

I know the Parler team is working hard to fix some of the bugs (defects) in Parler. The site is working, yet it can be frustrating to use, because the site becomes overloaded with traffic and runs slowly.

It seems to me that Parler is also having problems with the AI software and some posts are incorrectly being censored.

I hope Parler holds off on letting new users sign up until after the Parler free speech platform is more stable, running faster, and not deleting posts in error.
If new users came in now they would be frustrated and not happy.

Update: 2-17-21

Parler is back online.

Parler is now censoring some content.

Parler is using AI software and humans for moderation.

From @Parler

We use AI for:
1. threats/incitement, which have always been a violation of our guidelines and are not protected by the First Amendment.
2. NSFW which, since we've allowed it, has been behind a filter, and has always been treated as a violation only if not placed there.
3. "trolling" which, while protected by
#1A, is something that many users have requested the ability to filter from their feeds. It is NOT a guidelines violation.
As always, you can moderate your own feed via the "moderation/settings" menu--that includes the removal of one or both of the above filters.
Also, please appeal any errors you encounter in identifying this content, to help us improve.
Note: Urban Dictionary defined "NSFW" (short for "Not Safe for Work") back in 2003, before the shorthand peaked in 2015 when it was added to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary.Aug 9, 2017

It is odd some of the content that is being censored, please see screen shots of what Parler censored.

Parler has terminated CEO John Matze, according to a memo Matze sent to staffers that has been obtained by Fox News.

"On January 29, 2021, the Parler board controlled by Rebekah Mercer decided to immediately terminate my position as CEO of Parler. I did not participate in this decision," Matze wrote.
"I understand that those who now control the company have made some communications to employees and other third parties that have unfortunately created confusion and prompted me to make this public statement."

Judge Unfairly Refuses To Reinstate Parler After Amazon Shut It Down

This is why we need new laws to protect online freedom of speech.

“The Court rejects any suggestion that the public interest favors requiring [Amazon Web Services] to host the incendiary speech that the record shows some of Parler’s users have engaged in,” Rothstein wrote on Thursday.

This is a terrible and unfair decision by Judge Rothstein. What about the 15 million people that were following the rules, to Judge Rothstein our online freedom of speech does not matter.
She should resign and not be a judge.

Google continues to unfairly and illegally censor conservative USA Senators and Congressman.
No one is stopping Google, and Google is unfairly and illegally censoring this blog and web page.

Now see the search results from Bing for the exact same text.

Google is busted red-handed again unfairly censoring my content. They do this to many people.

Is Google illegally censoring you or spying on you?

Parler has filed a lawsuit against Amazon

“Millions of law-abiding Americans have had their voices silenced,” Groesbeck told U.S. District Judge Barbara Rothstein. “There is no evidence, other than some anecdotal press references, that Parler was involved in inciting the riots.”

"At no time before January 9, 2021, did AWS notify Parler that Parler was in material breach of the Agreement, thus blindsiding Parler," the filing said. "And in the period up until then, AWS implicitly assured Parler that the two companies had a positive relationship that would continue into 2021."
Amazon said in mid-December, Parler claimed, that it was "definitely in this journey with" Parler over abuse reports regarding problematic content on its platform, and that other customers including Twitter had received similar complaints.

Who really killed Parler?

Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple and Twitter need to be broken up into many smaller companies.
This is a monopoly, power and antitrust issue.

Many of the Socialist/Communist-Democrat big websites like Wired are making up many lies about Parler.
One of them is Andy Greenberg of Wired.
Below is 100% incorrect and fake news (lies).
THE SOCIAL MEDIA platform Parler rose to prominence as an outlet for free speech. In practice, it became a haven for disinformation, hate speech, and calls for violence, the sort of content generally blocked on more mainstream platforms like Twitter and Facebook.

The truth is many of the 15 million Parler users are Conservative Christians who left Facebook, and Twitter because of their unfair and perhaps illegal censorship.

Ashli Babbitt, the woman killed by law enforcement when she forced her way into the Capitol Building, had a Parler account, the platform acknowledged, but said it hasn’t been used since November. Highlighting its allegation that Amazon is exercising a double standard by singling out Parler for criticism, Parler said Babbitt used her Twitter account Jan. 6, the day of the riot. “Even the government claims that the attack was coordinated in part by Twitter,” Parler said in Wednesday’s filing.
